Digital payment firm DPO hosts youth empowerment summit in Ghana

The IYES Foundation is a non-profit, non-commercial, and non-governmental registered organisation which aims to empower youth, providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and opportunities to succeed in their chosen fields. 

DPO Pay (DPO), a leading African Payment Service provider, sponsored the 9th edition of the International Youth Empowerment Summit organised by the IYES Foundation.

The Summit, that took place in Accra on the 15th-17th March 2023, was attended by 4,000 people.

The IYES Foundation is a non-profit, non-commercial, and non-governmental registered organisation which aims to empower youth, providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and opportunities to succeed in their chosen fields.

As the official payments partner, DPO Pay enabled people to simply, and rapidly donate at the event to help empower young people in Ghana.

By using DPO Pay, non-profit organisations are able to process their donations and other fundraising efforts quickly and securely all over the world.

DPO Pay’s Head of Business Development, Manasseh Narh told the event that digital payments are key to growing a business and fostering entrepreneurship.

We were particularly excited with the opportunity to give back to the Ghanaian community through IYES and together we helped empower this year’s participants in fulfilling their purpose,” Mr Narh said.

Network International, a globally renowned enabler of digital commerce across the Middle East and Africa who acquired DPO Pay in 2021, also participated in the event as another way to show their commitment to young communities within the countries they operate in.

The 2023 Ghana conference aimed at inspiring and having a spiritual impact on attendees and was a unique opportunity to connect and network.

Activities included interview sessions, elevator pitches, and sessions on studying abroad, skills training and internship placements.

It aimed to empower the youth and to help them find job opportunities that match their skills and interests.
