Cameroon Postal Services (Campost) has partnered with FindMe, an address management start-up, to modernize mail delivery nationwide. This collaboration aims to leverage FindMe’s advanced digital addressing solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reach customers more effectively.
The agreement, signed in Yaoundé, will allow Campost to adopt FindMe’s GPS-based postal addressing system, which integrates with platforms like Google Maps and Waze. This mobile app lets users generate a postal address in less than two minutes, providing key location details such as house numbers, street names, and postcodes.
Users can generate a free basic postal address, while those needing a certified version can purchase a Postal Location Plan for 2,000 CFA francs ($3.30). This Know-Your-Client-compliant document replaces the often inaccurate, handwritten location descriptions traditionally used in Cameroon.
“This will transform access to essential services and bring modernization to the postal sector,” said FindMe’s founder and CEO, Brandon Brice Wanguep.
“With the e-commerce boom, we must innovate to meet last-mile delivery needs and enhance customer satisfaction,” added Pierre Kaldadak, General Manager of Campost.
This partnership follows a successful pilot of FindMe’s solution in Senegal, tailored to address Cameroon’s unique logistical challenges.
