OpenAI launches a $20 monthly subscription plan, ChatGPT Plus

An Artificial Intelligence (AI) research and deployment company, OpenAI has launched a pilot subscription plan for ChatGPT alias ChatGPT Plus.

ChatGPT is a conversational AI that can chat with you, answer follow-up questions, and challenge incorrect assumptions.

According to the OpenAI website, subscribers will spend $20 per month on the latest subscription plan.

 The subscribers using ChatGPT Plus will have general access to ChatGPT, even during peak times; faster response times and priority access to new features and improvements.

“ChatGPT Plus is available to customers in the United States, and we will begin the process of inviting people from our waitlist over the coming weeks. We plan to expand access and support to additional countries and regions soon,” the firm noted.

The company assured its free users of continued free access to ChatGPT. 

“By offering this subscription pricing, we will be able to help support free access available to as many people as possible.”

OpenAI noted that the feedback from millions of people after the launch of the robotic tool has enabled the company to, “Make several important updates and we’ve seen users find value across a range of professional use-cases, including drafting and editing content; brainstorming ideas, programming help and learning new topics.”

The firm plans to improve and expand its offers based on the subscribers’ feedback and need. 

It also noted that the ChatGPT API waitlist will be launched soon.

 

“We are actively exploring options for lower-cost plans, business plans, and data packs for more availability.”
