Standard Chartered Bank partners with Strathmore University to launch the 6th cohort of its Women in Tech Program

Standard Chartered Bank will launch the 6th cohort of its Women in Tech Program at its head office on Chiromo Lane in Nairobi, Kenya, in partnership with Strathmore University.

The ceremony will mark the opening of applications for the 6th Cohort of the Women in Tech program, with 20 applicants expected to participate in the 12-week incubation program.

The event will be attended by key policymakers, creators, and partners, including Strathmore University’s Vice Chancellor, Dr. Vincent Ogutu, and Standard Chartered Bank’s Head of Consumer Private and Business Banking Kenya and East Africa, Ms. Edith Chumba.

Others include Co- founder and Board Director at Cellulant/PANI Venture Coach Mr Ken Njoroge, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Ndovu, Ms Radhika Bhachu and Ms Silvia Muturi, founder and CEO at Hali Halisi.

Furthermore, the bank will host a celebratory event on March 31, 2023, to spotlight women’s creativity, ingenuity, and success using Meta technologies to advance economic opportunity.
