Stanbic Bank Kenya, in partnership with Mastercard, has launched two premium credit cards, the Stanbic World and Stanbic World Elite, catering to affluent clients across the region. These cards offer an extensive suite of benefits, including access to VIP airport lounges, global concierge services, premium memberships, and exclusive discounts on various travel, dining, and lifestyle services.

The Stanbic World card and the region’s first metallic Stanbic World Elite card are designed under the bank’s affluent banking proposition to provide high-net-worth clients with seamless and elevated financial experiences.

Speaking at the launch event, Abraham Ongenge, Stanbic’s Head of Personal & Private Banking, expressed the bank’s commitment to connecting clients with premium services that allow them to enjoy secure and flexible financial solutions. “Our clients deserve access to exclusive, streamlined services,” Ongenge stated, adding that these offerings are tailored to enhance clients’ work, travel, and leisure experiences.

Mastercard’s Senior Vice President for East Africa, Shehryar Ali, noted that the collaboration with Stanbic is rooted in a shared commitment to offering innovative financial products. “These new cards deliver a mix of comfort and luxury, immersing clients in an unparalleled experience,” he remarked, emphasizing the card’s focus on convenience and security through advanced contactless technology and fraud protection.

The Stanbic World card provides access to luxury experiences worldwide, including VIP lounges, luxury car rentals, and travel insurance. Additionally, cardholders receive discounts at popular retail outlets and priority hotel bookings, enhancing their lifestyle benefits.

Meanwhile, the World Elite card, a prestigious metallic offering, elevates privileges further by offering enhanced spending limits, exclusive dining and travel deals, and access to curated events.

Clients benefit from a 24/7 dedicated support line, visa assistance, and global rewards. Golf enthusiasts can take advantage of the Mastercard Golf Program, which offers discounted access to over 800 golf clubs globally, including those in Kenya.

Additional Privileges for Cardholders

  • Unicaf Scholarships: Eligible cardholders can receive up to 75% off tuition for studies with Unicaf’s partner universities.
  • Global Lounge Access: Complimentary access to airport lounges via Mastercard Travel Pass.
  • Enhanced Rewards: Discounts on rentals, chauffeur services, and curated experiences.
