Snapplify and Longhorn Publishers partner to impact education across Africa

Educational technology company, Snapplify has partnered with Longhorn Publishers Limited to avail thousands of top-quality, curriculum-aligned books to schools and students across Africa.

Leveraging Snapplify’s technology and strong relationships with schools, Longhorn will deliver its world-class ebooks to an even wider market.

Chief Digital Officer at Longhorn, Penina Kimani said the firm has invested heavily in the digital department to develop engaging and interactive educational content.

“At Longhorn, we know that digital is the future, which is why we are particularly excited about this partnership with Snapplify,” said Ms Kimani.

Ms Kimani noted that Snapplify’s technology, in addition to its wide pan-African footprint, will provide the best platform for Longhorn’s digital content.

“Snapplify’s technology allows for offline usage. It supports interactive content. It works across all types of devices, even older models. It comes with academic and accessibility features like in-app notes and highlights, and text-to-speech functionality,” she noted.

Snapplify’s Regional Manager for East Africa, David Ayieko said the partnership will bring value to schools that have adopted this educational technology, hence having a huge impact on students engagement and learning.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with Longhorn. The company has made huge strides to develop an expansive list of educational materials that not only meet the curriculum requirements of specific regions and include interactive content,” said Mr Ayieko.

Established in 2012, Snapplify has expanded to more than 35 countries with offices in South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Europe, the UK and the US.
