Recently, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer revealed its new Chameleon Color-Changing Technology. This technology uses a grid of sub-micron prism material to produce a range of colors at the touch of a button. The prism’s direction is carefully adjusted to create an array of iridescent colors without producing any light.

The technology allows for the manual selection of 1,600 different colors or automatic color changes based on battery level, music, or notifications. Tecno claims that the technology can withstand up to 2 million color changes, making it durable. It is unclear whether Tecno plans to include this technology in its commercially available smartphones.

Overall, Tecno’s Chameleon Color-Changing Technology uses a unique prism coloring technique that scatters light off the surface to produce iridescent colors. The technology allows for a range of color options and is said to be durable, though its availability in commercially available smartphones is still unknown.
