Tecno PHANTOM V Fold to retail at Sh130,000

Tecno recently launched its first foldable smartphone, the PHANTOM V Fold, in Kenya.

It is part of the Phantom X2 series and is the brand’s entry into the foldable device market to compete with Samsung.

The phone will retail at Sh129,999 for the 256GB internal storage +12GB RAM and S143,999 for the 512GB+12GB, and will be available at select Tecno stores, Safaricom shops, and the Phantom website.

The PHANTOM V Fold features a left-right foldable design and is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000+ processor, the same processor used in the Oppo Find N2 Flip.

It has a 6.42-inch LTPO AMOLED cover display with a resolution of 1080×2550 and a refresh rate of 120Hz when closed, and a larger 7.85-inch (2000×2296) main display with a 120Hz LTPO panel when opened.

It boasts an ultra-clear 5-lens camera system, with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel 2x zoom camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera on the back, and 32-megapixel and 16-megapixel selfie cameras on the front and inside, respectively.

It is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging but lacks wireless charging.
