NETSCOUT to unveil advanced cybersecurity solutions at MWC Kigali 2024

NETSCOUT SYSTEMS, INC., a leading provider of performance management, cybersecurity, and DDoS attack protection solutions, has announced its participation in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Kigali 2024, set to take place from October 29 to 31 at the Kigali Conference Center.

MWC Kigali, Africa’s premier connectivity event, will bring together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to explore how mobile technology is shaping the digital economy and driving socio-economic growth across the continent.

At the event, NETSCOUT will focus on educating attendees about its comprehensive cybersecurity solutions for the mobile sector, with an emphasis on addressing challenges faced by operators transitioning to 5G-enabled broadband networks.

Bryan Hamman, Regional Director for Africa at NETSCOUT, highlighted two main challenges: the growing data traffic, which reduces network visibility, and increased risks associated with the rise of IoT and fixed wireless access.

To address these concerns, NETSCOUT will showcase its adaptive DDoS protection solution, Sightline, capable of detecting a wide range of DDoS attacks, and Omnis Cyber Intelligence, offering deep visibility into cyber threats for rapid response to vulnerabilities.

Hamman emphasized the significance of MWC Kigali for NETSCOUT, stating, “This event offers us an opportunity to help Africa’s mobile operators strengthen their security posture amid increasing cyber threats.”
