Infinix unveils Hot 50 series: Hot 50i takes the spotlight as the standout model

Infinix has expanded its smartphone lineup with the introduction of the Hot 50 series, succeeding the Hot 40 series that debuted last December. Leading the range is the Hot 50i, which has quickly become the standout model.

The Hot 50i is designed with an ultra-oval, dual-rear-camera setup and measures just 8.1mm in thickness, making it both sleek and lightweight at 184g. Its 6.7-inch punch-hole display boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smooth performance for social media, video streaming, and gaming. Dual speakers also enhance sound clarity by up to 300 percent. The phone includes a 5m LED flashlight, a USB Type-C charging port, and dual SIM capability.

Powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, the Hot 50i offers two RAM options—4GB or 6GB—with an additional 8GB available through Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE). The device provides 256GB of expandable storage space for users who need more capacity.

In terms of photography, the Hot 50i is equipped with a 48MP main camera and an 8MP front camera, making it ideal for selfies. Photography features include AI Cam, Portrait mode, and Slow Motion, with both cameras supporting 1080p video recording.

The smartphone is fitted with a 5,000mAh battery, offering up to 14.2 hours of use, and includes 18W FastCharge technology for quicker recharging. Additionally, its IP54 certification provides resistance to dust and water, making it a solid choice for outdoor use.

Running on XOS, based on Android 12, the Hot 50i promises a user-friendly experience with built-in AI tools such as ASK AI, a personal assistant, and Folax, which simplifies music, call management, and other functions.

The Infinix Hot 50i is now available in Kenya starting at $106 (Ksh 13,699), and comes in four colors: Titanium Grey, Sage Green, Dreamy Purple, and Sleek Black.
