The launch of this program is in response to the increasing demand for skilled IT leaders who play a crucial role in driving innovation and growth in the digital age. The program is open to IT executives from all industries and sectors.

The program is delivered over six months and taught by experienced industry professionals. Participants are required to complete assignments and projects as part of the program. The program concludes with a graduation ceremony.

This program presents an opportunity for IT leaders to gain the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.

The program’s primary objective is to mentor and coach leaders and ICT practitioners, thereby fostering growth and creating more exposure to opportunities.

According to Director of iLabAfrica, Dr Joseph Sevilla, the program was created to fill the gap in the local and regional market and address leadership flaws in the CIO position with the assistance of academics and business.

According to Dr Julius Kipng’etich, Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jubilee Insurance, “The training will equip leaders with the necessary abilities to prepare them for the uncertainties of the digital age.”
He emphasized the importance of CIOs setting a good example for young ICT practitioners to follow at the C-Suite level.

Group Managing Director and CEO of East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL) PLC, Jane Karuku expressed her delight in being a part of the CIO Leadership Program launch.
