Gebeya Inc., a pan-African talent cloud technology firm based in Ethiopia, has announced its inclusion in Microsoft’s Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Success Program and the ISV and Startup Program for Azure. These initiatives aim to support companies in leveraging Microsoft Azure’s cloud platform to scale and enhance their operations.

By participating in these programs, Gebeya gains access to resources such as technical support, advanced cloud infrastructure, co-selling opportunities, and marketing assistance. This strategic collaboration is set to bolster Gebeya’s product offerings and expand its presence in Africa’s competitive tech landscape.

The company has been focusing on developing AI-driven solutions to accelerate the gig economy in Africa. Its AI agents, designed as interfaces for service providers and buyers in multi-sided marketplaces, are being trained in numerous African languages to improve accessibility and inclusivity.

“The support from Microsoft’s programs comes at a crucial time as we aim to enhance the performance and scalability of our AI models,” Gebeya stated.

Amadou Daffe, CEO of Gebeya, emphasized the significance of the partnership:
“This collaboration validates our efforts to revolutionize Africa’s gig economy through AI-driven solutions that transform industries and elevate consumer experiences. With Microsoft’s support, we are poised to accelerate growth and solidify our position as a regional tech leader.”

Microsoft’s Senior Project Manager, Ibra Diouf, expressed his excitement about integrating Microsoft AI into Gebeya’s solutions.
“Our team is committed to helping Gebeya build secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions on Azure’s platform,” he said.

Steve Buchanan, Fractional Chief Technology Advisor at Gebeya, hailed the partnership as a breakthrough:
“This collaboration enables Gebeya to reach new levels of innovation through Azure and AI, marking a significant milestone in our journey.”

Since its inception, Gebeya has been at the forefront of fostering tech innovation in Africa. Its participation in these Microsoft programs will empower it to harness advancements in AI and cloud computing, driving its mission to transform the continent’s tech ecosystem.
