Binance partners with AltSchool Africa to offer 500 full-tuition scholarships to empower Africa’s Youth

Binance has announced an exciting partnership with AltSchool Africa to provide 500 full-tuition scholarships to young Africans. This initiative, launching in January 2025 and running through December 2025, is aimed at bridging Africa’s growing digital skills gap by offering specialized education in fields such as software engineering, cybersecurity, sales, and content creation. This collaboration seeks to equip the continent’s youth with the essential skills for today’s rapidly evolving job market.

The scholarships will grant recipients access to AltSchool Africa’s comprehensive programs, designed to nurture in-demand digital skills and prepare African youth for success in the global digital economy.

Participants will also benefit from mentorship, career support, and hands-on training that will help them build solid foundations in their chosen fields.

According to the International Finance Corporation (IFC), by 2030, 230 million jobs in Sub-Saharan Africa will require digital skills, yet only 2% of the workforce is currently equipped with them.

Binance and AltSchool Africa aim to address this disparity by providing the next generation of digital experts with the tools and opportunities to thrive.

“We are excited to offer opportunities that will shape the future of young students across Africa through this partnership with AltSchool Africa,” said Samantha Fuller, a spokesperson for Binance. “Technology is a catalyst for change, and by investing in education, we are investing in Africa’s future. Our mission is to empower these students to become innovators and leaders in the tech industry.”

This scholarship program is part of Binance’s broader commitment to supporting educational initiatives across Africa, ensuring that young people are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It aligns with Binance’s ongoing social impact strategy, which focuses on building a more inclusive digital economy.

The scholarship recipients will be able to choose from a range of courses, including:

  • Content Creation (Certificate) – 6 Weeks
  • Sales (Certificate) – 6 Weeks
  • Product Design (Diploma) – 1 Year
  • Product Marketing (Diploma) – 1 Year
  • Product Management (Diploma) – 1 Year
  • Data Analysis (Diploma) – 1 Year
  • Data Science (Diploma) – 1 Year
  • Data Engineering (Diploma) – 1 Year
  • Front-End Engineering (Diploma) – 1 Year
  • Back-End Engineering (Diploma) – 1 Year
