Workz has been listed among the top five eSIM platform providers globally, a report by Counterpoint Research alias Global eSIM Provisioning Landscape  has noted. 

The research focused on the thriving market for the new SIM technology.

This is the third time Workz, an eSIM provider which specializes in cloud-based solutions for mobile network operators, has been given this recognition.

Others among the top five were Thales, a French multinational company that designs, develops and manufactures electrical systems as well as devices and equipment for the aerospace, defence, transportation and security sectors; Giesecke+Devrient (G+D), a German company that provides banknote and securities printing, smart cards, and cash handling systems.

Also, Idemia, multinational technology company that provides identity-related security services, and sells facial recognition and other biometric identification products and software to private companies and governments.; and Truphone, a global mobile network that operates its service internationally.

The company is one of the highest-ranking non-traditional telecom vendors in the report, and it has been recognized as a market leader in several areas, including innovation and deployment speed.

Recently, Workz became the first provider to launch a cloud-based eSIM management platform awaiting accreditation by the GSMA, an organization that represents the interests of mobile network operators worldwide.

The SIM specialist currently serves over 150 telcos in 80 countries. In addition, it provides the first open eSIM orchestration hub to enable interoperability between multiple vendor platforms and sales channels.

By 2025, eSIM technology is expected to be used in six billion devices such as smartphones, watches, tablets, cars, and utility meters.

According to the research, “Consumer demand is at an all-time high,” with over 260 mobile network operators worldwide currently offering eSIM subscriptions since last September when Apple launched its first eSIM-only smartphone.
